Right next to the way “Baby Be Mine” was done, “The Lady In My Life” being done the way that it was has made both of those songs top my list for songs that irk my Soul. Although this article is primarily about “The Lady In My Life,” these sentiments also apply to “Baby Be Mine” so keep them both in mind for this piece...

​Written by Rod Temperton, “The Lady In My Life” was released on the Thriller album in 1982. This song allowed Michael to reenter an energy that we saw from him many times before, with even more passion and yearning and dedication involved. He also showed us his powerful ability to express his feelings of being a sensual lover boy for the ladies when he sang “I Can’t Help It” (written by Stevie Wonder) on Off The Wall in 1979, but “The Lady In My Life” showed us how Michael could plead for the lady parts like he was a poor man out in the dessert sands who hadn’t had a cup of water in WEEKS.

This display of immense thirst from Michael was credited to Quincy Jones who wanted Michael to “get in the booth and beg!” And this worked out just right as “The Lady In My Life” is often praised as one of Michael’s best baby making songs, full of desire and lust and dreaminess.

Throughout the song, he gently sighs and softly moans and heavily yells for love.

Despite what everyone believed in the past, and currently believes now, Michael was only able to put the correct pressure on this song because begging for the affection of his woman came naturally. He was reserved on the outside, but inside, fire brightly flared within his Soul. For the women that he truly loved, “The Lady In My Life” isn’t just a song. It’s a reminder.

Michael’s vocal takes weren’t perfect until after Quincy told him to “beg for it” and that’s what sparked greatness. He went into the booth, he closed up the curtains, he dimmed down the lights, and he sang!

​With all of that hollering and aching and burning within, it would’ve really been a complete shame if that song was never released as a single or never given the proper promotion to allow it to thrive, like the other more well known songs of the Thriller project. Then, it would’ve been so unfortunate for Michael to not publicly mention the song more than a few times in his life and in his career in ways that drove the point home, like the other songs that we’ve cherished for the last 40+ years. Also, it would’ve been so sad for the song to live its life as one of Michael’s lovely background songs for his amazing photo shoots, but never publicly recorded live. Lastly, it would’ve been pretty devastating for such a sexy song to never receive a short film so everyone could closely watch Michael beg even harder, but on screen.

Oh wait… that’s exactly what happened.

“The Lady In My Life” is one of the greatest examples of WASTED POTENTIAL that the creative world has ever witnessed. That song is, quite frankly, an absolute masterpiece but our planet has been forced to call it a “hidden gem” as the world never got the chance to feel Michael beg outside of the studio. Fortunately, Michael did want every song from Thriller to be released as a single so I can say that at least Michael was on my side on this.

Thriller itself is an interesting work of art. People hate the first track (The Girl Is Mine), which is understandable because that song wasn’t written for the public. It was written for The Girl, who was never mentioned, but gave Michael all his inspiration and motivation for using deep love on his journey to the top. Then, people adore the final track (The Lady In My Life) which is actually just a power boost for “The Girl Is Mine.” Michael both started and ended his greatest work with juicy expressions of affection that solidified his place in history as the most iconic music artist of all time. When you start your goal with showing love and then end with showing even more love, you can never go wrong.

So, what really is the worst song on Thriller for me? The clear answer is: None. Thriller was and still is the greatest selling album of all time. And let’s remember that this is GLOBAL, since here in the states we sometimes forget that we aren’t the only country on Earth.

“The Lady In My Life” and “Baby Be Mine” never truly got the promotional space that they could’ve, but they’re both such exceptional songs that people are able to be mad about their hidden nature. People know that those songs deserve so much more and that’s what mattered all along.

Even though it has been claimed that “The Lady In My Life is the worst song on Thriller,” it can also be said that “The Lady In My Life” is the best song on Thriller.

Instead of giving silly people who hate Michael all the free marketing, I intend to control the narrative with articles like this that turn the tables around and create articles that purely uplift Michael’s legacy.

“The Lady In My Life” is one of the most incredible songs on Thriller, Michael sang that song perfectly, and everybody knows it. Those who don’t agree with this are still free to scream out into the void, of course.

But, obviously, the Thriller album is the most successful album on the globe so the negative opinions don’t have much weight.

Michael Joe Jackson is the most decorated artist in music history with over 1,000 awards and achievements and accolades.

Everything his haters have to say about his lifetime is simply empty noise for their boredom. The reason why “The Lady In My Life” is the worst song on Thriller is because saying nonsense about Michael is engaging. Also, because it was never performed live or given a short film even though it’s flawless and THAT is injustice.

As Michael's fans learn the game, it'll be much easier to deal with the press and avoid spreading the names of those who solely use their powers or platforms to try to hurt Michael due to his stellar impact.

​With all of that being said, are you ready for war? This article has been written to combat the false narratives that have constantly been created by terrible journalists against The King Of Music throughout the media. These sneaky snakes release media that attacks Bambi in order to upset his fans which tricks you into reposting the content all over the internet, directly mentioning the slanderous culprits on your own platforms, or sharing the nonsense for free promotion from his community.

As you come across every article about Michael that makes you angry, rather than mentioning it to others or sharing it, share an article about Michael by a different journalist that doesn't make you angry. Every time someone releases a film or video that was specifically made to upset his fan community to gain free promotion, rather than mentioning them to others or sharing information about them, share a film or video about Michael made by a different creator whose content is positive.

The goal is to decrease the amount of viewership that you send to people who don't like Michael Joe!

Send less to those who truly dislike Bambi and send MORE to those of us who actually love him!

So, every single time you encounter positive media about Michael Jackson, automatically share it!

Each time you find negative media about Mikey, don't share it and share something else positive!

The amount of shares that hateful media about him gets is why people continue to slander him!

Don't talk about how much you can't stand the bad creators and talk about all of us good creators!
